At the Third Meeting of the National Task Force for International Student Recruitment:

Director of International Affairs of the University of Kurdistan Actively Participates in the National Task Force Meeting

The Director of International Affairs of the University of Kurdistan attended the third in-person meeting of the National Task Force for International Student Recruitment, hosted by the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST).

According to the Public Relations of the University of Kurdistan, Dr. Hossein Bevrani, Director of International Affairs, actively participated in the third in-person session (the 68th consecutive meeting) of the National Task Force for International Student Recruitment, held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 (24 Khordad 1405), at IUST.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister and Head of the Student Affairs Organization, the Deputy for Scholarships and International Student Affairs, the Director General of International Students of the Student Affairs Organization, the President of IUST, and several task force members. The discussions focused on the performance of universities regarding international student recruitment during wartime, the resilience of academic institutions, and the continuity of the country’s scientific diplomacy under crisis conditions.

As a member of the task force, Dr. Bevrani presented a report on the current state of international affairs at the University of Kurdistan. He offered proposals regarding innovative policymaking, the significance of international marketing, and the identification of new target countries to diversify the international student body.

In the concluding segment of the meeting, task force members issued a statement emphasizing the implementation of transformative programs tailored to post-war requirements. These include leveraging e-learning capacities, digitalizing infrastructure, and streamlining international student recruitment and admission processes.

It is noteworthy that the University of Kurdistan, alongside the universities of Tabriz, Shahid Chamran Ahvaz, Shiraz, Shahid Bahonar Kerman, Isfahan, Mazandaran, Ferdowsi Mashhad, Imam Khomeini International, Tehran, Shahid Beheshti, Iran University of Science and Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, Tarbiat Modares, Kharazmi, K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Allameh Tabataba'i, and Alzahra, constitutes the membership of the National Task Force for International Student Recruitment.

As a member of this national task force, the University of Kurdistan consistently strives to enhance its international standing and expand scientific and cultural interactions with other nations. It should be mentioned that Dr. Hossein Bevrani was appointed as the Director of International Affairs of the University of Kurdistan in December 2025 (Dey 1404).
