According to the 2026 results of the Round University Ranking (RUR), the University of Kurdistan has successfully secured the 814th global position, placing it among the top 1,000 universities in the world.

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the Round University Ranking (RUR), which operates as a recognized and prestigious international academic assessment authority, has officially released its 2026 ranking results.

The RUR system evaluates universities based on rigorous indicators across four key areas: teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability. Based on the analysis of the published data, the University of Kurdistan achieved a total score of 45.256, thereby securing its place among the world's top 1,000 universities with a global rank of 814.

Furthermore, the evaluations indicate a strong presence of the country's higher education sector in this edition, with 56 Iranian universities successfully entering this global list. Among these, the University of Kurdistan solidified its standing by achieving the 23rd national rank among the evaluated universities across the country, placing it within the "World League" category of this assessment system.

The continuous presence of the University of Kurdistan in prestigious ranking systems such as RUR demonstrates the institution's commitment to enhancing international standards in education and research.

Given the university's strategic planning in the fields of scientific diplomacy and internationalization, it is expected that by focusing on improving indicators such as the recruitment of international students and faculty, as well as expanding cross-border research collaborations, the university's standing in global assessments will continue to rise in the coming years.
