University of Kurdistan Faculty Member Recognized as National Distinguished Professor
At the 33rd National Distinguished Faculty Members Ceremony, a prominent faculty member from the University of Kurdistan was officially introduced and honored as a National Distinguished Professor.
According to the University of Kurdistan Public Relations, the 33rd National Distinguished Faculty Members Ceremony was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 (23 Khordad 1405). The event, hosted by the Iran University of Science and Technology, was attended by Dr. Hossein Simaee, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology; Dr. Fatemeh Mohajerani, Government Spokesperson; and a group of university presidents and distinguished academics.
During this national event, the top educators from universities and higher education institutions across the country were recognized and presented with plaques of honor.
Dr. Kiumars Habibi, Full Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Kurdistan, was formally introduced and honored as a National Distinguished Professor during the ceremony.
The ceremony was held to honor the high status of professors and to highlight their pivotal role in advancing the scientific and cultural objectives of the nation's higher education system.
