In the latest rankings by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the University of Kurdistan has climbed 10 places to secure the 31st position among Iran's comprehensive universities. The university has also successfully improved its standing at the Islamic world level.

Improvement of the University of Kurdistan's Academic Rank in the ISC World University Rankings

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, Dr. Bahman Bahramnejad, Vice President for Research and Innovation, has announced the university's improved standing in the latest rankings by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).
"In the results published for 2024, the University of Kurdistan has climbed 10 places from the previous year to secure the 31st rank among all comprehensive universities in the country, including those under the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education," he stated.

This progress is also significant on the international stage; the university's rank in the Islamic world has improved from the 201-250 band in 2023 to the 176-200 band in 2024, indicating substantial growth on a global scale.
Dr. Bahramnejad added that this achievement is the result of the university's enhanced performance across ISC's key evaluation indicators, which include research, education, international outlook, facilities and amenities, and socio-economic activities.

This remarkable leap is a testament to the effectiveness of the university's strategic plans and the collective efforts of the entire University of Kurdistan community in its journey toward achieving academic excellence.
