According to a report by the University of Kurdistan Public Relations, a research project titled "Identification of Potentials, Challenges, and Operational Strategies for Enhancing Trade Relations between Kurdistan Province and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq" has successfully secured first place among the top research projects of provincial chambers of commerce across the country. This project was conducted within the framework of cooperation between the University of Kurdistan and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, with the participation of the Economic Studies and Research Center of the Sanandaj Chamber of Commerce.

This achievement was officially announced during the symposium of the heads of research centers of chambers of commerce nationwide, hosted by the "Iran Chamber Research Center" in September 2025 (Shahrivar 1404).

During the ceremony, the members of the project's executive team, including Dr. Khaled Ahmadzadeh and Dr. Saman Ghaderi (faculty members of the University of Kurdistan), along with the primary collaborators, Mr. Abdulbasit Mohammadi and Ms. Mahtab Saed, were introduced and honored.

This valuable accomplishment demonstrates the scientific and research capabilities of the University of Kurdistan and its effective collaboration with the country's economic institutions toward the development of regional trade relations.
