According to the Directorate of International Affairs, the Round University Ranking (RUR), which operates as one of the most credible and recognized academic evaluation references globally, has officially published its 2026 ranking results. This ranking system evaluates universities based on precise indicators in the areas of teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.

Based on the analysis of the data published in the results file of this ranking, the University of Kurdistan succeeded in placing among the top 1,000 universities in the world with a total score of 45.256, achieving a global rank of 814.

Furthermore, the evaluations show that the country's higher education sector had a strong presence in this edition, with 56 Iranian universities successfully entering this global list. Meanwhile, the University of Kurdistan was able to consolidate its position, achieving the 23rd national rank among the evaluated universities nationwide, and placing in the "World League" group of this evaluation system.

The continuous presence of the University of Kurdistan in prestigious ranking systems such as RUR demonstrates this institution's commitment to improving international standards in education and research. Given the university's macro-planning for the development of scientific diplomacy and internationalization, it is expected that by focusing on improving indicators such as attracting international students and faculty, as well as expanding cross-border research collaborations, the university's position will witness a significant rise in such global evaluations in the coming years.
