During a meeting held on June 23, 2024, with representatives from various faculties at the University of Kurdistan's Office of International Affairs, the new members of the university's Internationalization Council were introduced.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Habib Soleyani, Director of International Affairs at the University of Kurdistan, and representatives from the faculties. Dr. Soleyani welcomed everyone and introduced the new council members. He also discussed the council's responsibilities and its bylaws.

The University of Kurdistan Internationalization Council was established to plan, implement, and execute decisions made by the International Affairs Policy Council. Additionally, it plays a role in developing, revising, and monitoring the university's international strategic plan.

The new council members are:

• Dr. Sharafat Karimi - Faculty of Languages and Literature
• Dr. Wrya Hafezi - Faculty of Humanities
• Dr. Mohammad Razm Kabir - Faculty of Agriculture
• Dr. Fereidoun H.Panahi - Faculty of Engineering
• Dr. Arezoo Ahmadpour - Faculty of Humanities
• Dr. Zanyar Naghshbandi - Faculty of Languages and Literature
• Dr. Bakhtiar Bahrami - Faculty of Art and Architecture
• Dr. Amjad Ali Panah - Faculty of Basic Sciences
• Dr. Hanieh Ghaffari - Faculty of Natural Resources

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Arezoo Ahmadpour was elected as the Secretary of the University of Kurdistan Internationalization Council by a majority vote.
