In Line with Enhancing the Global Standing and Scientific Diplomacy of the University:

Synergy Between Education and International Affairs; Honoring Pioneers of Services to International Students at the University

 

Directorate of International Affairs Public Relations, University of Kurdistan; Aligned with the university's strategic plans to develop scientific diplomacy and improve the quality of services provided to the international student community, a cordial meeting was held at the Directorate of International Affairs to honor and appreciate the dedicated efforts of faculty educational administrators. This meeting aimed to strengthen communication channels between line and staff departments and to express gratitude to colleagues who play a direct and pivotal role in streamlining academic processes for international students.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hossein Bevrani (Director of International Affairs), Dr. Hemin Noorbakhsh (Director of International Students), Dr. Najmaddin Jabbari (Head of the Persian Language Training Center for Non-Persian Speakers), Ms. Lamea Hashemi (Senior Expert in International Memoranda and Projects), and Dr. Kayvan Ghaderi (Head of Accreditation and Ranking). During the session, the selfless services and effective cooperation of Dr. Asa'ad Mahdavi (Head of the Educational Department at the Faculty of Natural Resources), Ms. Arina Hosseini (Head of the Educational Department at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences), and Ms. Solmaz Moradi (Senior Graduate Educational Expert of the University) were highly commended and honored.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Hossein Bevrani emphasized the foundational importance of internationalization in modern higher education, stating that attracting, guiding, and enhancing the satisfaction of international students is a chain process whose backbone is formed within the educational offices of the faculties. He added that the compassionate cooperation of educational officials plays a decisive role in raising the scientific authority and global standing of the University of Kurdistan. Following his remarks, other senior managers and experts of the international affairs division elaborated on various dimensions of admission processes, Persian language training, international ranking requirements, and the legal frameworks of agreements, identifying comprehensive synergy as the ultimate key to the university's success in global evaluation metrics.

A major part of the meeting was dedicated to specialized discussions and an exchange of views among the attendees. The invited educational officials, drawing on their valuable experience in directly addressing the academic concerns of non-Iranian students, offered constructive proposals and solutions. Key topics discussed included optimizing and facilitating enrollment and admission processes in postgraduate studies, strengthening administrative communication channels between specialized faculties and the Persian Language Center, introducing innovative solutions for the cultural and academic adaptation of students in the faculties of Humanities and Natural Resources, and upgrading educational data registration frameworks to improve the university's international ranking and accreditation metrics.

At the conclusion of the meeting, certificates of appreciation were presented to Dr. Asa'ad Mahdavi, Ms. Arina Hosseini, and Ms. Solmaz Moradi for their insightful collaboration and instrumental services in honoring and advancing international student affairs. The participants emphasized the continuity of such brainstorming sessions to refine processes and strengthen the international position of the University of Kurdistan.
